Looking for…

Dear ladies and gents,

it has been so hot here the only thing I feel remotely capable of doing in the evening is to sit on the balcony, read a book and (if I’m lucky) enjoy the breeze.

So first order of business – if any of you ladies and gents would kindly like to share some book recommendations that would be much appreciated.

I finished with Nesbo’s Headhunters and Veronica Roth’s Insurgent a while back and I have been re-reading Stephen King for some reason (Under the Dome, The Tommyknockers and I’m currently on It). If it is not obvious it’s blood and gore galore.

Telly watching has been on the back burner.

Random bits and bobs I have watched include True Blood and not even Alexander Skarsgard being back to his hot self can hold my attention. The show is meh at best.

Also I started watching The Big Bang Theory and a) I am enjoying it immensely and b) for the life of me I cannot understand that it is written and produced by the same guy who is doing Two and a Half Men *shudder*

Things that look promising – Newsroom (obviously because it’s written by Sorkin and stars Jeff Daniels) and Line of Duty (new show by BBC Two about corruption in the police force; Jericho fans might appreciate it because it stars Lennie James).
