Dear faithful readers,
you know I love me a good cooking show. But fact of the matter is chefs can get a bit fiddly with their food. And it’s not that it bothers me so much. But the washing up after I’m finally done most certainly does. So I’m always on the look out for recipes that do not take ages and ages to prepare. And that do not require millions of pots and pans.
And it’s Jamie Oliver to the rescue with his 30 minute meals. That’s what he said – 30 minutes! I was like – dude sure when you can chop onions like a pro or carve a chicken I’m certain it takes just 30 minutes. Obviously he has never saw me chop an onion (although I have been using food processor for that of late).
But there are plenty of recipes that actually seem doable. As in – yes it can be done in 30 minutes. What I love about this show is that Jamie teaches you plenty of tricks and cheats to do things faster without compromising quality of the food. There is a cheat Banoffee pie recipe that I’m dying to try out.
So have you seen Jamie’s 30 Minute Meals? Have you put any of his recipes to the test? Do let me know in the comments below.
