Did you know… Leverage
-
Dear faithful readers,
I have a dentist appointment tomorrow that I am trying really hard not to think about. Then there is trip to UK on Wednesday and my regular travel fever is being hampered somewhat by constant reminders sent by Ryanair about the online check ins, the weight and size of my luggage. Did you know that check in luggage for Ryanair cannot exceed 32 kilos (as if!) and should not exceed following measurements 81cm x 119cm x 119cm? Yup – they’ve reminded me of that a few times already.
And Ryanair I’ve measured – my luggage is 75cms thank you very much now will you stop asking?! Sheesh!
Anyhow to take my mind off silly little things for a while I’d thought I’d try on a new feature for a size – random bits and pieces about some of our favorite shows. I’d thought I’d start off with Leverage since it doesn’t get enough love on our blog when it really should because I enjoy it very much.
And if you haven’t watched it so far you have plenty of time to catch up as it will return in December.Did you know that Timothy Hutton won his Oscar for best supporting actor at the age of 20? Then again a man whose first role is titled as “boy running to his daddy” obviously started young. Anyhow no matter how young and unwrinkled he looked way back in the day I have to admit I kind of prefer Timothy Hutton wrinkly and bit disheveled, more attractive that way, no? Plus the man reads! A lot. And that’s always a plus. (my apologies, I would embbed the video of his Oscar speech unfortunately it’s disabled so you’ll have to click on the link above).
Did you know that Gina Bellman starred in British series the Coupling? I thought that show was hilarious (it was written by Steven Moffat of Doctor Who and Sherlock fame). But it kept bothering me because I knew that her face was familiar from somewhere but I just couldn’t place it. And then this summer I watched reruns of Only Fools and Horses – well hello Gina! One of her first roles was in this British favorite. You can check both clips for Coupling and Gina’s stint on Only Fools and Horses below.
Did you know Aldis Hodge had his first ever role on Die Hard: With Vengeance? How can you possibly top that?! Then again it’s the same dude who starred on Buffy, NYPD Blue, ER, Boston Public, Bones, Friday Night Lights and my personal favorite Supernatural (and that’s just a select few shows I’ve listed). But since I’m hungry (very hungry!) here is Aldis in commercial for Taco Bell.
Ah the lovely Christian Kane. Well you probably knew he was on Angel, right? You probably also knew dude can sing. As in really not badly at all. BUT and for a little Supernatural crossover, as we do love our Supernatural in these parts here is Christian Kane on stage. With Jensen Ackles. So you know – don’t complain I never do anything for you
I love Parker’s character. She always, always gives me the giggles. And this is Beth in Alwin and the Chipmunks. See Parker would totally get what he is saying. And that’s why I love her. All down to the writers and Beth Riesgraf of course.
