Autumn/winter movies worth seeing

Dear faithful readers,

summer was about Inception. But apart from that there wasn’t anything else that I really wanted to see. But autumn/winter movie season is shaping up to be an interesting one. It’s only natural with the Oscars and all. And usually I’m quite picky when it comes to movies but as you can see from the list below there has been a number of trailers that have intrigued me.

So tell me dear readers – do you have any favorites you would like to see this autumn? Please share in the comments below.

The King’s Speech

It has Colin Firth, Geoffrey Rush and Helena Bonham Carter. That’s enough for me.

The Black Swan

Darren Aronofsky directed this psychological thriller starring Natalie Portman. Well they had me at psychological thriller. Can’t resist them for some reason.

The American

As bizarre and silly as this sounds – I don’t like George Clooney much, but I do like his movies. So I am giving this one a look.

Never Let Me Go

Based on the novel by Kazuo Ishiguro, script is written by Alex Garland and it stars Keira Knightley and Carey Mulligan.

Due Date

It looks like it could be fun. Then there is Robert Downey Jr. And the pup is cute.

Somewhere

Although I’ve read the early reviews and they are somewhat disappointing because I find Sofia Coppola’s visual story-telling compelling I am more then willing to give this one a go.

The Town

Ben Affleck went all out on this oneĀ  – he written, directed and stars in The Town. The cast seems pretty strong too and although it’s not my first choice it looks ok-ish.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows

Oh please, you didn’t really expect me to leave Harry Potter out?!
