Commercial – Adidas originals Star Wars and David Beckham

Dear faithful readers,
the World Cup is upon us. Unfortunately our team didn’t even qualify but since telly will be all-football-all- the-time we might as well embrace it rather then fight it.
Down below you can find adidas latest commercial effort for the World Cup. It has Star Wars, it has Daft Punk and it has David Beckham – what more could you ask for?
However I do have to admit I was more partial to the Nike ad below (even though I love my adidas trainers) because I found it more visually compelling. Ok I am partial to Canna (and a bit bitter Borriello got the shove) and I wish Nike has used Gourcuff (hello?!) rather then Ribery. But details, details. I think Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu did a wonderful job.
It’s almost as good as Guy Ritchie’s Take it to the Next Level.
