Rue McClanahan dies

Dear faithful readers,
sorry for the lack of posts but I was out of town and with no Internet connection for a few days. Unfortunately I got home today to the news that Rue McClanahan has passed away. While she was a theater actress and a wonderful comedian she was best known for her role of Blanche on Golden Girls.
Since I grew up on Golden Girls I am totally biased. But those ladies, they really knew what they were doing. It was comedy gold. The writing was superb and they bounced off each other so well, it was a pleasure to watch. They don’t make comedy like that anymore.
Rue passed away at 76 from a stroke. May she rest in peace and thanks for all the laughs.
