Dear faithful readers,

lets face it when summer rolls around there is nothing to watch (well almost nothing Leverage should come back soon enough, plus as I have admitted before I am quite partial to Jeff Lewis).

Be as it may the pickings can be really slim. So I was overjoyed when I saw there will be a new comedy coming out this June. I know, I know good comedy series are very, very (VERY!) hard to come by. But this one gives me hope. And you know why? Because it stars freaking Betty White!!! Yes Betty White is coming back to our TV screens, how awesome is that? LOVED. her in Golden Girls, well I really loved them all (on a side note, isn’t it funny how comedy, a good comedy can still stay relevant and make you giggle even after all these years?)

Anyhow the series Hot in Cleveland is produced by TV Land and it is their first foray into scripted comedy. It tells a story of three high flying New York women (played by Valerie Bertinelli, Jane Leeves and Wendie Malick) who after boarding for a flight to Paris end up in Cleveland. Funnily enough they love it there and decide to stay. And when they rent a house together they learn it comes with a caretaker. Who is played by Betty White. The series is produced by Sean Hayes (yes as in Jack in Will & Grace) and written by Suzanne Martin (who worked on both Frasier and Ellen).

Dear faithful readers, comedies can be very tricky. But I’m hoping this one will not suck.
