Don’t worry I’m germ free! Or at least I think I am

I do apologize for patchy postings however I was struck with flu/cold/sometypeofabug all of last week and I really did not have it in me to post with fever, snotty nose and racking cough. I’m slowly on the mend (finally!) but I’m still sluggish and bloody slow. So a short post for today.

You know we love a good book here at Couchslobs and I also know that great majority of us order our books through Amazon. But a few months ago I got this link from a friend for The Book Depository. Unless you are located in the States or even in the UK the shipping charges for Amazon can stock up (especially if the books are not on discount).

But Book Depository has worldwide free shipping and that does give it some edge over the competition. I have ordered some books since then and I can tell you the prices are affordable, the packages are dispatched quickly and even more importantly they arrive quickly (even the books that are not shall we say very popular).

Currently they also have more then 11.000 e-books available to download for free. Now I am not a big fan of e-books, I much prefer to physically have the book in my hand, but if you like e-books or if you wanted to check some author out you can search their database and give it a whirl.
