Day of the Triffids trailers

Dear faithful readers,
before I busy myself with last minute shopping and mad dash cleaning (luckily I’m finally done with the baking) here is a trailer for The Day of the Triffids.
It is a new BBC series based on a science fiction apocalyptic novel from 1951 written by John Wyndham.
Triffids are aggressive men eating plants – well yes it is about men eating plants that try to take over the world. But what did you expect it’s science fiction
Anyhow the crops were used as alternative fuel source, they manage to escape the captivity and they begin breeding all over the world.
It is a special BBC TV event, the series will air on December 28th and 29th and the script was written by former Law and Order and ER writer Patrick Harbinson. Cast includes Joely Richardson, Dougray Scott, Vanessa Redgrave, Eddie Izzard, Brian Cox and Jason Priestley (of all people).
Anyhow after the stress of the holiday man eating plants just might be what the doctor ordered.
