In the day and age of DVRs, TiVos, Internet telly watching and viewers suffering from mild to severe cases of ADD ad agencies are forced to grab our attention pretty damn fast. By any means necessary.
Commercials can be funny, WTF?! or make no sense at all. Like it or hate it they come in as a packaged deal with telly watching.I do have to admit I really like a good commercial so here is a selection of a few I really liked over the years.
Guinness has been producing beer for centuries, no wonder they have the ads down pat.
Then there are the Aussies who you have to hand it to them use Carmina Burana to a great effect.
Oh heavens what are Barney and Fred doing?! And in case you were wondering yes smoking is bad for you. I can totally see one of the fellas from Mad Men coming up with this particular concept.

I was actually mesmerized with this Honda commercial when I saw it for the first time
Have you ever seen carton called Gogs? Well it seems someone at FedEx was watching it on the sly.
I love this one made by Guy Ritchie for Nike. It is too cool for words you have to admit, even if you loathe football in general or Arsenal in particular.
When ducks attack
And the Swedes do it again, really you have to hand it to them, they do make some of the funniest commercials ever.
This is still my favorite. Although I still testily dislike T-mobile.
