Eurovision Song Contest

Dear faithful readers,
tonight in Europe the Eurovision Song Contest has started.
If you are unfamiliar with the concept it is basically a bunch of decidedly naff pop acts (ranging from folk to heavy metal) and they all battle it out during the Saturday’s evening finale to see which country will host the contest next year.
And when I say naff I really mean naff from the words of the song to the clothing the acts decide to wear. The best way to watch Eurovision is with a group of friends and plenty of food and alcohol so you can basically laugh and giggle and take the piss out of the contestants. I know shallow, shallow blogger but it can be quite fun. I mean how can you not laugh when you see something like this?
