And now that you have said it - when you think about it the hybrid Cylons have free will and can love, so the next logical step to bridge the gap between humans would be procreation. No wonder it bothers her. Her focus on developing resurrection could be seen as a displacement of her own inability to conceive. Perhaps it may even account for the drinking. And she thought she had her soul mate, Final Five or not, I think the news of Tigh fathering a child with another Cylon would have unhinged her just a bit.
