Lost talking points

  • AFI Awards 2008 - Arrivals

So I have finally gotten down to typing up my Lost notes. So lets start with some talking points – but warning for anyone who still has not seen the 2 hour premiere there are spoilers ahead.

Don’t ask where are we but when are we.

The thing is even if you steered clear from spoilers and other such nonsense this one was a given. With flashforwards, flashbacks and whatever it is that is happening right now (me thinks we are actually being taken for a ride in two different parallel dimension – if that makes any sense, but then again I’m suffering such a brain fry I wouldn’t be surprised if it didn’t make any sense) they have finally came out with it – it is not about the where but when. Which kind of made me think duuuh! But thanks all the same for at least answering one of the questions. And when you think about it – it only took them 5 season to answer it, must be some kind of a record.

Dead Locke, alive Locke, shot Locke, dead Locke, alive Locke (anyone got dizzy or was that just me?)

Which brings me to the second talking point – that poor old bugger Locke. In one dimension he is dead, in another one he gets shot in a leg by Ethan. Who was killed by Charlie because of Claire. And Charlie is also dead. And where/when Claire is still remains to be seen. Although if she is talking to Jack’s dead dad me thinks that does not bode well.

Where was I? Yes Locke. Poor bugger. Must not be comfortable to have your arse dragged all over the time space continuum.

    Sayid is a superman

I almost peed my pants when Hurley’s mum asked “What is dead Pakistani doing on my couch?”
But turns out Sayid was not dead. He must be some kind of a medical miracle because how else can you explain he was shot by so many darts that would take down a rhino but still managed to breathe?

    Daniel Faraday

He kind of reminds me of Lost producers. I know it all but I’m not telling. Tsk! I know physics is not my strong suit but you know try me. Which leads me to another talking point (which annoys me to no end)

Why is it that every time someone asks a direct a question we would love an answer to they always cut that scene before any answer is given? Why? Whhhy?

    Is Desmond the island’s constant?

Ha, what do you think? If he is the one that ties it all together – the past, the present, the future and the island where and whenever it might be ergo it led me to think it is Desmond who is the main guy. And not Ben Linus.

Hurley dude you crack me up.

When Hurley tried to explain to his mother what actually happened I’m pretty positive many Lost fans had a flashback of their own – just remember the last time you tried to explain Lost to someone who didn’t watch it. Precisely!
But my favorite line of all time – the island just went blop! Hurley dude I salute you.

And last but not least Sawyer should walk around shirtless all the time.
