7 most disgusting TV scenes

7-most-disgusting-tv-scenes

I do love me some good telly. I really do. And it goes without saying good TV can be engrossing, enthralling and exciting.
But sometimes just sometimes it can be plain gross. And I do apologize for resorting to teenage girl speak but there is not better word to describe it. Ok perhaps disgusting would do nicely.

So let’s take a look some of the most disgusting TV scenes ever. Each one of these made me squint my eyes in horror (I’m a wimp what can I say?), made my lunch rise back in my throat or just plain made me shudder in horror.

X Files Tooms episode – do you remember that one? It was about a serial killer Eugene Victor Tooms who could squeeze and bend himself whichever way and he needed 5 livers to go into hibernation for 30 years. The liver thing did not bother me so much, but that nest he made out of old papers and bile was absolutely vile.

Supernatural – I love Winchester boys. But they have encountered some horrible, gross looking things on their hunting expeditions. And I’m still unsure what is more gross – Bloody Marys, Wendigos, bugs, scarecrows or the method of getting rid of these creatures. But by far the most disgusting thing was that shapeshifter that lived in the sewers with his shedding skin everywhere. Bloody hell would it kill him to clean up after himself? His bathroom must be a nightmare.

Dexter – our favorite serial killer has given us a good few creepy crawly moments over the years. That crime scene drenched in blood that brings back repressed memories for Dexter was just plain disturbing, but what made me gasp even more were the drained and cut up pieces of dead hookers Ice Truck killer left all over Miami. It look liked pieces of meat you get at the butchers (sorry just shuddering in horror).

Fringe – Fringe only has 5 episodes under it’s belt but it was episode 2 “Same Old Story” that totally grossed me out. As if the killer who needs pituitary glands to stay young was not bad enough (it involves a complicated process of going through the nose, which is ew in itself), they took the woman’s eye out! Together with her optic nerves! The shot of the eye with the nerves dangling behind, was that really necessary?

Heroes – I know I have just written how I have given up on Heroes. And it is true, I just cannot follow it anymore. But not before being grossed out by Dr. Suresh one last time. Now I know he probably got bored of people having cool powers and him being cooped up in that dark apartment. But one would think he would consider the possible side effects of injecting himself with a formula that is supposed to give him cool hero powers. You know, being a doctor and all. Now he is turning into a fly. Or something to that effect. Serves him right.

House – our favorite doctor has had some strange and bizzare cases over the years. But one thing that gets me every time and makes me twich uncomfortably is when any given patient starts to bleed from their bottom (usually when placed in MRI). Honestly, how absolutely dreadful and not to mention vile. But what is even more disturbing is that the fine doctors of Princeton Plainsboro Teaching hospital just shrug their shoulders and concentrate on other symptoms.
The man/woman/child is bleeding from the bottom! Surely it should be looked into. Not literally but you know from safe distance.

Blackadder and Baldrick’s boils, warts and pimples – oh good heavens who ever did the Baldrick’s make-up on the Blackadder series should get a medal because those bloody things look horribly realistic. Given the series takes place in the middle of the World War I trenches and daily cleansing routine was not an option, but heavens some of those looked ready to burst. I’m talking about pimples and boils, you cannot do much about the warts.

So tell me dear readers, what were the TV scenes that made you scream Ewww?
