Things I learned watching True Blood

I’m totally digging the new HBO series True Blood. And I’m not even one of those vampire fanatics so that should tell you something. Its dark, gritty, sexy and sometimes believe it or not hilariously silly.Although I do have to admit – I keep waiting for the Winchester boys to show up looking to impale a few vampires.

So lets see things we have learned watching True Blood.

  • Vampires are hot. Hot in the conventional sense – tall, dark and handsome (if you do not mind the greenish tinge).
  • Vampires are also creepy. Very very creepy. You never really know what will set of vampire’s creepy ways.
  • Ladies if you plan to seduce a vampire you can count on fangs coming out at any given time.
  • Also it seems if you plan to have sex with a vampire, they like it if you beg. But you cannot look to desperate – major turn off. Although how you can combine the two is beyond me. It should also be noted that you will be called a rather nasty name – fangbanger (male and female alike).
  • Contrary to what we have learned from Anne Rice, if you drink vampire blood you will not turn into one.
  • Drinking vampire blood on the other hand will heighten your sense and it can save your life. For men on the other hand – unless they want to end up with priapism they should steer well clear.
  • Garlic does not work on vampires.
  • Impaling might work however it is still too early into the season to know how exactly.
  • Vampires seem to have a preference for 0 negative. Which means I would be screwed.
  • If you are a vampire and you plan to redecorate it will be a bitch to find a handyman who will want to come and visit you at night.
  • Anyone who sleeps with Sookie’s brother Jason will end up dead.
