A year of comebacks

Since I have not written anything 80s related a wee bit, I was delighted to read the scoop over at E! Online that Michael J. Fox of all people is in talks to join the cast of Rescue Me for a multi-episode arc. Not only that but he might pop by the set of Scrubs.
Yay! I am absolutely delighted we will be getting a dose of the 80s boy wonder again.
And then there is the whole Shannen Doherty oopla that I have not even touched upon. But to be quite frank I thought she would back down in the last minute or something.
I am all for 90210 spin-off or whatever they like to call it these days. Especially since the idea originated from Rob Thomas. Mr. Thomas does not make trash so it has to be good.
The fact Shannen Doherty will be making an appearance is pure brilliance if you ask me.
Why? Because it will be us, the kids from the 80s who will be watching the show.
It has been long enough for us to remember it with fondness for a number of reasons - the fashion, the bitchiness, the love triangles or squares or any other given geometrical shapes and of course the cheesiness.
And the fact is (and you can argue with me all you want) it was not the same ever since Brenda sorry Shannen left.
Will it save CW? I doubt it.
Which makes me worry about Supernatural but we’ll cross that bridge when we come to it.
