    I have to admit I did not see this one coming – the mid-season finale of BSG was mind blowingly good. It almost makes up for those few slow paced episodes. I said almost :) And for anyone who still has not had the chance to see Revelations read no further.

    What I did not expect was
    a) that the Final 4 will be revealed so soon and
    b) that they will find Earth in the middle of the season.
    (I wont even go into the whole post-apocalyptic Earth thing, I have just read Amy’s recap of the episode and her latest theory, hm I really do think she might be on to something.)

    To me the most interesting character of this particular episode was Saul Tigh. See I never really liked him. He was so straight and narrow, so utterly stubborn in his ways – Saul Tigh was a grumpy old bollocks and I didn’t like him much.

    It came as quite a shock that he would be one to turn himself in and give up his fellow Cylons. Because of all the lives that would be lost. Well slap me on the arse and call me a silly sausage I didn’t see that one coming. That one has the cajones of steel.
    When you think about it, Anders would be a more obvious choice. Even Tyrol for that matter. But no it was Saul Tigh. On the other side of the spectrum there is Tory who was so fast to join “her people” it gave me whiplash.
    Call me a cynical blond (maybe I have had too much contact with politicians at one point), however I don’t think it is about finally finding her place among her own. Me thinks its all about her ambition and not playing the second fiddle anymore.

    So to do a quick summary:
    Favorite performance of the episode – tie between Adama senior and Tigh
    Favorite quote of the episode – Adama to Tigh “I knew you when you had hair”
    Favorite surprise of the episode – tie between finding wasteland that is Earth and Tigh giving himself up
    Favorite Baltar moment – Baltar the peacemaker
    In house record for number of Cylons one slept with – tie between Baltar and Starbuck

    Greatest remaining mysteries
    What happened to Earth?;
    The mystery of the Opera House?;
    Cylon- human hybrid babies?;
    Cylon babies (if Six is indeed pregnant with Tigh)?,
    The 5th Cylon, not in the fleet?

    All I will say 2009 looks very far away.
