BSG - Revelations Ruminations

I have to admit I did not see this one coming - the mid-season finale of BSG was mind blowingly good. It almost makes up for those few slow paced episodes. I said almost 
And for anyone who still has not had the chance to see Revelations read no further.
What I did not expect was
a) that the Final 4 will be revealed so soon and
b) that they will find Earth in the middle of the season.
(I wont even go into the whole post-apocalyptic Earth thing, I have just read Amy’s recap of the episode and her latest theory, hm I really do think she might be on to something.)
To me the most interesting character of this particular episode was Saul Tigh. See I never really liked him. He was so straight and narrow, so utterly stubborn in his ways - Saul Tigh was a grumpy old bollocks and I didn’t like him much.
