I just realized going over the old posts that I went about it the wrong way the first time around. Remember that post about our favorite movies from the 80s? Well after catching the end of Goonies a few weeks ago I realized I should have divided best movies into categories.
Why? Because 80s were real fruitful decade. Honestly what was I thinking?
So without further ado I give you my choice for the top 10 teen movies of the 80s. With clips for your viewing pleasure. Of course I fully expect you to chip in with your own choices – the more the merrier.

Ferris Buller’s Day Off – Matthew Broderick at his best.

Can’t Buy Me Love – before he was McDreamy Patrick Dempsey actually played a nerd. And check out his hair.

Pretty in Pink – well it’s a classic isn’t it? Plus its Molly Ringwald.

Footloose – oh Lordy where would I even begin? We have the rebel, some nifty dance moves and of course the love story.

Breakfast Club – it has most of the Brat Pack in it plus it sort of marked an era not to mention influenced teen movies since.

    Dead Poets Society
    – ah how I loved that movie. Robin Williams was fantastic plus the whole seize the day thing, well I should remember it more often.

Goonies – I saw that movie numerous times and it still makes me giggle. And it has a hobbit in it!

Stand by Me – based on a Stephen King book, wonderful coming of age story.

Girls Just Want to Have Fun – Ms Sarah Jessica Parker back in the day when she had unplucked eyebrows, unruly hair and not a Manolo in sight. Great girly movie.

License to Drive – I had to have at least one movie with Coreys in it.
