Since the shameful sit-com confessions were so popular I did a little digging just to indulge my own curiosity and see where are they, these people we used to watch day in and day out. And of course it would not be fair if I did not share my findings with you.
Some fared well, some fared not so well, while others went in a completely different direction.
My digging also unearthed that Bronson Pinchot was born on the same day as me. Good heavens!

Golden Girls
Bea Arthur – seems Bea chose her projects wisely, she did a guest episode of Futurama, Malcolm in the Middle and Curb you Enthusiasm.

Betty White – she kept busy after the filming of Golden Girls were over and some of her guest stints included The Practice, Everwood, Boston Legal, Ugly Betty and Bold and Beautiful.

Rue McClanahan – well our dear old Blanche, sorry Rue has also kept busy after the Golden Girls. In fact she has a new series coming out called Sordid Lives and from what I have seen from the promo it does look promising. Rue also did Murphy Brown, the Love Boat – the Next Wave, Safe Harbor and Touched by an Angel.

Estelle Getty – after Golden Girls ended Estelle did Touched by an Angel, Mad about You, Stuart Little and Ladies Man. Ms Estelle has been diagnosed with Parkinson and dementia, I think I speak for all of us that were once entertained by her antics that I wish her more good days then bad days.

Perfect Strangers
Bronson Pinchot
– heavens just realized Bronson Pinchot and I share the same birthday. Honestly!
Anyhow after Perfect Strangers Bronson Pinchot has a guest role on Law and Order – Criminal Intent, 3rd Rock from the Sun, Step by Step, Six Degrees, Law and Order SVU, First Wives Club and the Young and the Restless. Bronson also did Surreal Life and has a movie out called Cluster (that stars Corey Feldman of all people).

Mark Linn-Baker – also known as cousin Larry did a sit-com called Twins that only lasted for one season, but he had guest roles in numerous other TV series such as Ally McBeal, Spin City, Soul Man, Family Matters and even Law and Order: Criminal Intent.

Family Ties
Tina Yothers – aka Jennifer Keaton starred in a movie about Laker Girls called imaginatively Laker Girls (I actually saw this one on telly ages ago). She played Tonya Harding in Spunk: Tonya Harding Story. Tina also did Celebrity Fit Club.

Justine Bateman – after Family Ties, the height of chic that was Mallory Keaton did a number of TV movies, had a guest role on Arrested Development and her current TV stints include Men in Trees and Desperate Housewives.

Meredith Baxter – Meredith Baxter has been a busy bee, making more TV movies that you can throw your stick at. She also had guest roles on Closer, Brothers and Sisters, Cold Case and in one memorable incident she joined Michael J. Fox and starred as his mum on 2 episodes of Spin City.

Michael Gross – guest starred in Boston Legal, How I Met Your Mother, ER, Medium, The Drew Carey Show, Tremors, Law and Order: SVU and Law and Order: Criminal Intent and played a therapist to Michael J. Fox on Spin City. I just wanted to write the only thing missing was a guest role on CSI and lo and behold Michael Gross did star in one episode of CSI: NY.

Bosom Buddies
Peter Scolari – now we all know what Tom Hanks has been doing but what about Peter Scolari of Bosom Buddies fame?
80s were good to Peter Scolari, with the likes of Family Ties, Twilight Zone and the Love Boat. Then he did Honey I shrunk the kids (as in TV show), Reba, ER and Sabrina the Teenage Witch. He did reunite with Tom Hanks on the cartoon The Polar Express.

Cheers
We know Ted Danson was Forbisher but what about the rest of the Cheers gang?
George Wendt (aka Norm) was on Fraiser, Becker and Sabrina the Teenage Witch and heavens he also did Spice World the movie. And according to IMDB he has all these movies in production so surely that is a good thing.

John Ratzenberger (aka Cliff) did Dancing with Stars but it seems he found his niche with cartoons as he did Ratatouille, The Incredibles, Toy Story, Cars and Monsters INC.

Rhea Perlman has a guest role on Kevin Hill, Becker and Law and Order: SVU, while she is currently filming Beethoven: The Reel Story.

Shelley Long did not one, but 2 Brady Bunch movies, has a guest role on “8 rules… for dating my teenage daughter” and Boston Legal. She also filmed Honeymoon with Mom and A Couple of White Chicks at the Hairdresser (I don’t have a clue what that one is about).

Kirstie Alley is currently filming Nailed while Kelsey Grammer just saw the demise of his show Back to You.

Cosby Show
What happened to all of the Cosbys?
Phylicia Rashad or the matriarch of the Cosby family Clare Huxtable had a regular stint on Cosby after the Cosby show ended and won a Tony for her performance in “A Raisin in a Sun”.

Lisa Bonet (aka Denise) was in High Fidelity and Enemy of the State, but she was also married to Lenny Kravitz and has a daughter with him. Oh and she changed her name to Lilakoi Moon. Moon I know but what Lilakoi stands for I don’t have a clue.

Tempestt Bledsoe (Vanessa) had a guest role on the Practice and South of Nowhere, but she also took part in the Celebrity Fear Factor and had her own talk show (only lasted for a year).

Malcolm Jamal Warner faired better with his TV work, you could see him on Malcolm and Eddie, Jeremiah and Listen Up (where he teamed up with Jason Alexander). Oh and for anyone following Dexter he had a guest role in one episode.

Keshia Knight Pulliam was on Celebrity Fear Factor, Celebrity Mole, had a stint on House of Payne but the only thing I saw her in was the Beauty Shop with Queen Latifah.

Sabrina Le Beauf (Sondra) was on Star Trek and did a lot of theater while finishing her second degree this time in Interior Design.

Geoffrey Owens or Elvin has a quite illustrious TV career that includes everything from Law and Order: SVU to Boston Legal, Las Vegas, Journeyman and even Medium.

Raven-Symoné fared pretty well for a child actor – she was one of the Cheetah Girls and had her own sit-com That’s so Raven.

Berta - Totally awesome! :) Thanx for taking the time to do all this research (and even more for sharing!!)! Some of these I knew, but most I had missed… I was a great fan of Journeyman and watched it religiously. Was Geoffery Owens the man who was going to kill his wife and son? Of course, if you didn’t see it, you haven’t a clue! ;)

Hope you have a GREAT weekend!! :)
