Stephen Fry Appreciation Monday - news and bones to pick

Dear faithful readers, happy Stephen Appreciation Monday!

As you can see from the previous post appreciation abounds today. But this is nothing new here. Anyhow for today’s edition of Stephen Fry Appreciation Monday I have collected some news and tidbits about our lovely Mr. Fry that I think you might find interesting.

However first of all I have a bone to pick with Digg. Now bare with me I know I am technically challenged but this one I don’t understand. Since I never was too much into the whole podcast thing I never paid much attention to podcast section on Digg. But along came Mr. Fry’s podgram and of course now I am exploring the media and looking for podcasts that might seem interesting. And while I really digg Diggnation and the lovely boys how come Mr. Fry’s podgram is not even listed on Digg?!
Its number one podcast on iTunes UK hello! And its really good. When I have tried submitting it on Digg it said it has already been submitted so I thought ok it says its beta and whatnot. Maybe it will take a while. But now 3 days later and it is still not there.
Come on Digg lads, get Mr. Fry listed already so we can digg him!
The man is the original Apple fanboy, he played Daddy Dietrich in V for Vendetta not to mention his podgrams are funny, intelligent and interesting! And number one podcast download on iTunes UK. But I have mentioned that already :) Will someone do something about that? Soon? Thank you!

Ok bone picked. Now back to the regular programming.

First stop, fantastic news tonight sees the airing of another one of Mr. Fry’s documentaries. This one goes under the title of Stephen Fry and the Guttenberg Press – The Machine That Made Us. As some of you know already I’m a self declared documentary tart so I am bound to love this one, but still our lovely Mr. Fry will make a copy of Guttenberg’s machine and don’t quote me on this one but he has a screwdriver in his hand on the promo picture. Well hello! That alone is worth seeing.
For all of you UK readers, Stephen Fry and the Guttenberg Press is on BBC4 at 9 UK time.

Sunday Telegraph has listed 100 most powerful people in British culture and our lovely Mr. Fry is sitting comfortably on number 44, sandwiched between Christopher Hampton and sir Ian McKellen. Hmmm quite a sandwich if I might say so myself.
Congrats Mr. Fry!

Last but not least when I was searching for news about our lovely Mr. Fry I stumbled upon this article. It is a story about Stephen Fry finally making a visit to the House set. Honestly I almost fell off my chair! The story goes on not only did he make a guest star appearance but that he actually co-wrote this particular episode of House. How could I have missed that? But then I noticed the date when it was published. And all I will say is aaaaaaaaaaaaah!!!
Not on to get me in a titz like that, really not on. But nice effort all the same. And we can always dream cant we?

I don’t trust that source for the House article, although I want it to be true very, very much.

Oh I got to the end of the article and I kept thinking how could I have possibly missed this and then I saw the date on top.
April’s Fools and all that but I have my limits :)
