When movie stars get their kit off
So everyone saw Demi Moore in Striptease getting her kit off. Novelty has worn off pretty much by the time movie was released. I present to you some of the more memorable scenes where the leading men and ladies got their kit off to a great effect.
Some made us shudder in revulsion, some made us gasp with shock, some tickled us pink but for sure they did not make us yawn in boredom.
The Crying Game (major spoiler ahead)
In one of my all time favorites Neil Jordan’s The Crying game one of the main characters played brilliantly by Jaye Davidson strips to reveals there are no girly bits. Slap me on the arse and call me a silly sausage but I did not see that one coming. If we are talking memorable, I don’t think you can get any more memorable then that.
The Full Monty
Say what you will but none does comedy better then Brits. Full Monty is a small movie about 6 unemployed steel factory workers who decide to go all the way in a bid to earn some cash. Flabby bellies and all. You have to admire their gall. Now I cannot her Tom Jones “Leave you Hat on” without breaking into a strut.
Basic Instinct
Not striptease per se, however in that infamous scene that has been spoofed ever since Sharon Stone let the whole world and anybody’s gran get a full shot of her vajayjay. Unfortunately it seems that was the highlight of her career.
Austin Powers – International Man of Mystery
Thank goodness it was a comedy, because Mike Myers stripping to his Union Jack briefs would be simply tragic if it was not funny.
Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan
Borat’s nude wrestling match with his manager. All I will say is heaven help me! And lets not forget that famous bathing suit of his (if you can call it that).
Closer
Natalie Portman by far the most talented actress of her generation gets her kit off. I’m pretty sure the explanation was along the lines of artistic value of the movie and whatnot but me thinks they just wanted to see Natalie Portman show her bits. Natalie Portman and her bits aside, Clive Owen well hello!
Missing in Action
I have not seen this one, but apparently Church Norris (Chuck Norris!!!) strips down to his undies. Well who am I to leave out Chuck Norris from the list? I wouldn’t dare to be honest.
Notting Hill
Who can forget Rhys Ifans performance as Spikey in hit comedy Notting Hill? He shows a bit of cheek for the paps stalking out Julia Roberts in a pair of underwear that are either that dirty and old or were grey to being with (sorry I could not tell the difference).
Magnolia
Remember that scene where Tom Cruise strips down to his slip before an interviewer? Well I never was a member of the Tom Cruise fan brigade, not even when he was in Top Gun and since he went all ape shit on us he does not have many fans left. But I did like Magnolia a great deal (now when I think about it he probably was not acting). And lets not forget that delightful performance from Risky Business.
Casino Royale
The unveiling of the latest Bond (although I am still very partial to Sean Connery) brought us Daniel Craig. In those delightful blue what is the technical term boxers? Are they boxers? Not that I care anyway.
Monty Python’s Meaning of Life
Sex education the British way. John Cleese strips to God awful underwear and proceeds to give a live demonstration for his class. The Monty Python boys could do anything and get away with it.
And last but not least this is my cat getting her kit off, all I will say Demi Moore has nothing on her.
