Itsy bitsy recap extravaganza

itsy-bitsy-recap-extravaganza

The last of the pre-strike episodes are finally seeing the light of the day and truth be told (and especially since I saw the Sunday’s episode of House) I am blasting and damning the producers to hell and back. Will you get on with it already you turdilicious turds? Pardon my French. Ok so lets take a look.

Grey’s Anatomy – although it has been a while since we saw the last pre-strike episode of Grey’s it was not particularly impressive. There was plenty of drama with Bailey’s kid getting injured and her spats with her husband, but overall it was meh. Sure Mer-Der is off again, but seriously at least they could have made it a bit more interesting. I am not saying I am Meredith’s biggest fan, but Rose? Perhaps I am wrong, but at least Meredith is dark and twisty, by comparison Rose seems quite dull.

Ugly Betty – Bananas for Betty was by far my favorite episode of the season, it was hilarious. The last episode not quite so much. As strike is still in progress and I try to remain spoiler free I am a tad bit curious where will the show go from here. The potential for drama is great – Henry leaving, Christina and her pregnancy, Claire finding out about test tube mini Meade and other whatnots should make for some interesting and hopefully funny telly.

Supernatural – finally, finally things started hotting up on Supernatural. Apart from the obvious appeal of the Winchester brothers we got a glimpse on what the pits of hell might be like and who Ruby really is. She is still the demon chick who kicks ass and get the Winchester boys out of trouble, but at least we have learned why she is doing it. Well sort off. Why do the writers love to give us smidgens of information and then leave it all for season finale? Tsss do I have to spell out attention deficit disorder?

House – well House rocked. Especially the post - Super Bowl episode. Classic House and kudos to writers. 4 years they have been doing this and they still manage to make it fresh and interesting. Think about it, the form is so strict - one patient with a dodgy disease every week, you have to be very imaginative to make that into something people will watch week after week. And even though I think I am completely immune to House’s quirks (I am purposely using a polite word here) more then Wilson himself, I still do manage to shout out “He didnt just say that, did he?” The only good thing that has come out the blasted strike is that Hugh Laurie had some time to recuperate in England. Bless.

Lost – well Lost has come back with a bang and made my brain fry. To be honest we have all waited so long and just because of that I thought it was going to suck big time. Isnt that usually the case with everything in life? But I digress.

Although I still think the-too-early-demise of Charlie was a bit of tosh, but finally, finally Hurley was the man. Or should I dude? I said I was going to write to the network if Hurley did not get more airtime, now there is no need. But that is the subject of another post for later on this week and after I have seen the second episode (and even though I try to remain spoiler free my brother informed me rather gleefully it should be better then the first one).

The newcomers worth checking out Eli Stone and Breaking Bad. I still have not gotten round to watch In Treatment so I’ll get back to you on that one.

Also do not forget Jericho on Thursday!

So what are your thoughts?
