The Palace - A Royal Turd

the-palace-a-royal-turd

I have to admit I haven’t seen the latest episode of British royal drama The Palace, but I feel two episodes were enough to make my judgment. This turd of royal proportions will not take long to review. I just wanna ask one question: Was it possible to make this show any more obvious? From the first five minutes I could see where this show was going. From the sick father, alcoholic mother, bitch of a sister and screwup of a brother. The most obvious is the protagonist, the innocent young prince who just wants to be a simple normal guy. Oh, just for the fun of the plot they included a older married mistress in the mix to complete the circle. Turd, turd, turd. I almost forgot there’s another sister in the picture, but we have no idea what her deal is. She will blossom around episode five when young girls become bored of watching shirtless prince and ratings fall below room temperature.

One thing is good in this series. That’s the performance of Zoe Telford. Although, her character is god awful predictable like the rest of this turd, she shines in it.

That’s it!
The End.
I told you this is not going to take long.

Lost returns

lost-returns

The wait is over – Lost is finally back this week.

That is great news as there are virtually no more decent shows left (well apart from Jericho that returns on February 8th, but that is a story for next week).

But what to expect? If you have asked me that after the end of season 2, I would say a lot. This time around I am not so sure. There is no denying the fact that the last episode of Lost was mind-blowingly good. But good few episode before that were not.
And I do have to admit I miss the intensity and mind blowing twists and turns of first 2 seasons.
Remember the discovery of hatch? Remember when the light shone through that hatch door? When Ben turned out to be who he was? The map on the hatch doors? The numbers, the hatch imploding, the big purple light in the sky? Tsss those were the good old days. At the moment I am ambivalent but truth be told a bit eager as well to see what happens next.

Be as it may, here is a little collection of interesting tidbits to keep you ticking and get you in the mood for Thursday night.
