Things I have learned watching QI

    • The answer never is the blue whale
    • If you are unsure of the answer just keep listing things, you are bound to get something right – eventually
    • Do not try to make sense out of QI points system
    • If you eat only rabbit you eventually die. On the other hand if you have some peas and carrot with your rabbit you should be ok.

    • The inventor of Moonwalk contrary to popular belief is not Michael Jackson, but Bill Bailey and manakin bird (here is manakin in action)
    • It is not shaggers disease but Chagas disease and it is not what you think
    • Ballet is illegal in Turkmenistan, the good news is circus and opera is allowed
    • Nelson never wore an eye patch
    • Contrary to popular opinion vampire bats will not bite you on your neck, but your big toe so keep those socks on
    • If you need invisible ink use lemon juice, egg yolk and as a last resort semen
    • Way to uncover a female spy – get her pregnant, wait 9 months and if she starts to yell in another language during delivery – bingo!
    • It is possible to get a splinter from toilet paper
    • Pickles can light up
    • Rhubarb can be used as laxative
    • If your supply of rhubarb runs low, the good news is you can force them to grow, the bad news is it will take 2 years.
    • Fake gummi bears fingerprints can fool sensors. Then again you can put them to good use and simply eat them.
    • You will not vomit if you swim 20 minutes after you had your meal
    • Contrary to popular belief ulcer is not caused by diet and stress, but by bacteria Helicobacter pylori
    • Appendix does have a use after all, but for the life of me I cant remember what it was

    Out of curiosity, would you happen to recall in which episode this tidbit was featured?

    Of course I do… or at least I think I do :) It was the episode about espionage…
    But to help you go to youtube and search for Queer Tinting Ties… :) I dont know what episode exactly it is, but this should help.
    Although I do have to warn you it is a slippery slope to pure addiction… :)
