By popular request - Tony Slattery

Taking a lead from our good old chum Richard over the Richard Madeley’s Appreciation society I checked out our statistics to see what brings you to Couchslobs.com.
Now I found all sorts of stuff from Does Michael C. Hall wear a wig (truth be told I dont know) to snarky cow (well thank you) and Baldrick’s coffee (you can find the recipe here). Clean movies no cleavage speaks for itself, but I will not even comment on Stephen Fry in a blender (honestly he is a lovely man what is your problem? Tsss)

And it seems a lot of you are trying to find out more about Tony Slattery. Since we love Tony Slattery and I am a blond thus eager to please here is some info.
Tony Slattery was a member of Cambridge Footlights where he goofed around in very good company of Emma Thompson, Stephen Fry and Hugh Laurie. For their production of The Cellar Tapes they have won the Perrier Award at the Edinburgh Festival.
Tony is probably most known for his work on Whose Line is it Anyway and Have I got the News for You, but he also did musicals Me and My Girl; Radio Times and Neville’s Island.
I personally loved him in The Crying Game, but he also starred in Peter’s Friends, To Die For, Up ‘n Under and The Wedding Tackle.

In the 1990s Tony had a bit of a melt down, which he describes quite candidly in Stephen Fry’s documentary The Secret Life of a Manic Depressive. While I dont approve of drugs he did spend some time chucking his furniture into the Thames which is quite legitimate. I have this monstrosity of a desk that can only be chopped up with an axe and thrown out of the window when I do decide to replace it so I can understand his predicament.

All jokes aside, you can see Tony Slattery in his latest endevour the second season of Kingdom with Stephen Fry. While I loved season 1 I do have to say it is great Tony is playing a larger part in the show, he is simply fantastic.
So lets all wish Tony Slattery fantastic projects, more air time in 2008 and good health.
