Walk down the memory lane or Blast from the Past
Lets take a walk down the memory line and remember some of the shows we have watched while we still had braces/funky hair/disastrous fashion sense.
Blast from the past section of this blog will be devoted to one show from distant and not-so-distant past that we have either particularly enjoyed or disliked.
In case you have any suggestions which show should be reviewed leave a note in the comments.
Ok, for my first choice of our “Blast from the past” series I have picked “Cover up”. For anyone growing up in the 80s, I don’t think I have to explain much. However for the younger generations a brief description of the storyline.
Dani Reynolds (played by Jennifer O’Neill) was fashion photographer whose husband died. Wanting to find his killers she hires a former Green Beret Mac Harper (played by Jon Erik Hexum). They do find her husbands killers but also Dani finds out her husband was a secret CIA agent. Her husbands boss Harry Towner offers Dani her late husband’s job so her and Mac travel the world on pretence of being a fashion photographer and a model while helping Americans who are in trouble. Yup that’s the storyline basically.
Cover Up was a very short-lived CBS series (it only lasted one season), which was marked by the death of its leading actor Jon Erik Hexum. Jon Erik Hexum died at the set while playing Russian roulette with a prop gun. What a bloody waste of a good talent. Another actor was brought in to replace him (Anthony Hamilton) but the series didn’t last beyond first season.
I do remember watching the show religiously at the time it did help that Hexum was exceptionally easy on the eye but I do wonder would I find it entertaining now.
