My unseemly crush
The latest object of my fascination or the unseemly crush is Mr. Stephen Fry. Yup, I get one of those from time to time even though I am a snarky cow. It is not so much of a crush but a bit of besottedness if you will. I have this list of people I would love to have a chat with (I am aware I am bit weird that way however as I was told by someone once you are weird in a good way - I have decided to take it as a compliment). Anyhow so for years (12 of them in fact) Bono was the top of my list of people I would love to have a chat with. Why Bono? Ah well even though he has a big head and even bigger mouth I do feel his heart is in the right place.
And Mr. Fry has knocked off Bono from the coveted spot good and proper. For all of your unfamiliar with Mr. Fry he has been a guest star on TV show Bones. He is also the brain behind A Bit of Fry and Laurie and Jeeves and Wooster (oh how I loved that show when I was growing up). In Britain he is also the voice behind Harry Potter audio books and the host of QI, an actor, writer, director - simply there is no end to this man’s talents. His documentaries left me speechless and I cant wait to get my hands on his autobiography. In this day and age when we mostly shift our focus on the superficial Mr. Fry is a man of genuine substance. I can understand now why they call him the “Treasure of the British Empire”.
I was delighted to find out he is blogging as well and my it is a blog like you havent seen it before. I cant wait for the next installment but do prepare yourself it is a mighty read. His blog on fame tickled me pink, its hilarious, I found myself giggling so hard coffee went right through my nose. So while I wait for my Jeeves and Wooster and until I get my hands on Mr. Fry’s autobiography at least I have his blogs to look forward to. Now if they would only get Mr. Fry to guest star on House oh Lord that would be fantastic.
