New season premieres – am I missing something?
To be quite honest I didn’t expect much. The way it usually goes is that they throw out these spoilers, trailers and other whatnots and then you expect so much but in the end it is almost always meh. Although there is still premiere of Supernatural to look forward to I thought it would be good to do a little recap.
Heroes – well Heroes were Heroes, it was wham bam thank you ma’am from the start. Its great when you think about it, as this was one of the things I hated about last season of Lost. The writers dragged it on and on and on… while I don’t mind the mystery could something please happen? That why Heroes are so great, they don’t beat around the bush… while technically we still don’t know whats happening with some of the characters (comes with having such a huge cast) I like it much better this way. Oh and of course I am still waiting for Kristen Bell sighting yay! Oh and if you want to find out which Hero character are you take this quiz (I am Hiro btw).
Ugly Betty – to be honest, I was not bowled over, but it was nice to giggle to Betty again. Hm it reminds me of that song Bono wrote for Frank Sinatra “Two shots of happy, one shot of sad” yup that reminds me of Ugly Betty. Oh and that Amanda’s fat suit? Por favor… get her out of it pronto.
Grey’s Anatomy – another one that left me feeling was that it? Ok its obvious Christina is due for a major crack-up pretty soon, the whole Mer-Der on again, off again is getting boring, while the only thing that gave me a jolt was the end scene, you know what I am talking about… it was a bit strange wasn’t it? And even stranger still, me thinks the whole George-Izzie thing could actually work. Yup I should bite my tongue before speaking in future.
House – now House tickled me pink. I did have my doubts about 40 new people joining the cast, but obviously I have underestimated the writers. And Hugh Laurie. Although we still haven’t seen him in action with 40 new team members, they are wearing numbers, hello. Me thinks mayhem will ensue.
Private Practice – And am I the only one that things the name is a bit bland? oh well, dare I say Shonda Rhimes is spreading herself a bit thin this year. To write for 2 shows it has got to be difficult. Private Practice was blah of the first order, honestly I do feel a bit bad for Kate Walsh.
Reaper – I like Kevin Smith movies and I love Kevin Smith ever since he professed his undying love for my favorite show Veronica Mars. But I am still not sold on Reaper. The idea of reaping souls with a dust buster is funny, I’ll give him that. And casting that evil creepy guy from Twin Peaks as the Devil himself, it was a good choice. Maybe they just need to get into a groove or something.
Do let me know if I’m missing something good.
