NEW SHOWS WE MIGHT LIKE

It the beginning of September and the new show wars have started. We are bombarded by previews and trailers from all sides, so I have decided to do a little bombarding of my own.
Private Practice – ABC
Ever since Grey’s Anatomy went down the drain with the “sex sells, but forbidden sex between interns and residents sells better” attitude, I’ve been waiting for the spin-off which will continue on the original concept “medicine, relationships and great music sell” and possibly make it better. First Grey’s Anatomy spin-off, which follows Dr Addison Forbes Montgomery (ex-Sheppard) to LA as she starts her new carrier in the upscale Oceanside Wellness Clinic, just might be the show to do that. We’ll see.

Start Date: September 26, 9 pmPushing Daisies – ABC
OK, the story sounds a bit iffy, but if nothing else it could be an hour long car crash. And I love’s me some of hour long car crashes! The story goes as follows: A guy has the ability to bring the dead back to life if the touches them. A guy uses his power to solve murder cases. A guy revives his childhood sweetheart as part of her murder investigation. A guy and girl fall back in love. A guy can’t touch his girl ever again or she’ll drop dead, and not in a gorgeous way! Interesting?

Start Date: October 3, 8 pmBig Shots – ABC
The series follows four CEOs who try to make sense of their personal and professional lives through male bonding. Well, …, the cast is good so I have great expectations. Just as long the testosterone doesn’t take over the show.

I’m really excited about this show. A Kevin Smith project about a slacker who becomes a bounty hunter for the devil after his parent sell his soul to the Devil. Common this must be a blast. Can’t wait for this one to start.

Start Date: September 25, 9 pmBack To You – Fox
I’ve always liked Kelsey Grammer. He reminds of those Shakespearian actors that bring stature to the screen. Although, this concept of once-popular newscasters reunited once again after he failed in a promotion to a bigger market, sounds a lot like real life Frasier spin-off, but I’m willing to give it a try. Once again the cast is promising and who didn’t like Frasier!
