Cain vs Grissom, I like Cain but Grissom would win hands down if it was a fair fight. Cain is a person that does not play by the rules, if you truly what him his is a bad cop, he has beat and murdered criminals. Now, Grissom is like the Spock of all CSIs, he uses brains instead of braun to get to the truth. Grissom can find a logical explanation for everything. As for the comment that Grissom does not use his gun, he has just not as much as Cain. Don't get me wrong Cain is smart and gets the job done, it just sometimes he breaks the rules to do it. Cain also relies on his team to solve the case rather than do the thinking for himself. Grissom works with his team and they think as a team to solve a case. Grissom also teaches his team to think outside the box, Cain doesn't teach his team much of anything, except how to keep secrets, i.e. what happened in Brazil?!

I disagree, I think that grizzly Grissom outdoes Cain at best lead CSI. While Horatio has the action that Grissom lacks, and he actually uses a gun, not to mention his personal touch when it comes to people and his great people skills he lacks in some key areas that gill really exceeds at.
The first and biggest virtue of Grissom is his superior intelligence to all but the most genius of criminals while Horatio Cain may take down or out gun any criminal he can find that would be little use against the Miniature Killer or Kevin Greer because what you cant find you cant arrest. Those episodes when Gil has to try to track down someone who knows how to cover their tracks and even rub it in the CSI”s faces are the best episodes. Yes Grissom is a bit of a geek but I think that’s part of what makes him so cool and what if grissom doesn't say things like "why don’t you just cut the crap" he more than makes up for it with "the puparios are still largely undeveloped". Grissom is a lighter touch but isn't that what being a CSI is all about?
(Oh and I’m not saying Cain is stupid or dissing his deducting skills he’s still my second favourite CSI)
I disagree, I think that grizzly Grissom outdoes Cain at the best lead CSI.
